124cm long, weighed 33kgs.

That's what I thought, She's got a big girth but not the length. Seems to be the way with big barra. They are either long and thin or average length (ie 120cm) but rounded.

I'm keen to see one of these 140/150+ monsters! I believe it's completely possible, if you think about it the tallest man ever was 8ft 11 (freak). I'll just need to see it on mat before believing it.

This is 131 but mine is no where as thick set.

Ben jam, pretty sure there is a pic of a 140+ from cahills, at FOW, near the cash registers, not on a mat, but if you see the pic, you wont question the size, its pretty obvious.
BTW, ive seen a 123 on a mat, that was actually 118, i know that for a fact, because it was my fish.

A lot of people don't give Johnny Mitchell credit for all the big barra he catches (currently) due to Awonga dam overflowing and it is assumed that these are dam fish that have escaped. However, what people don't realise is that he caught majority of the female barra used in the stocking programs for Awonga and a lot of these fish were 130cm+

130's are pretty comin. You hear of a half a dozen or so a year caught and there are probably double that number you don't hear about. but you hardly ever hear of 140's and never see one on a measure. 150's , well......180cm. Pipe dreaming I thinks!

About 15 years ago saw a fish caught under the Wyndham wharf, by a young local fella with a handline(whipper snipper cable) on a slab of Powertail. They had it laid out on the deck, no one had a tape. So I scratched 2 notches in the concrete.
Went back the following day was bang on 135cm, still the biggest barra I have seen in the flesh!!
No doubt it fed a lot of people.
