Re: My biggest Barra ever...
Hi there,
Thank you guys for all the good replies.
But trust me on this one...
All the pleasure is mine!
Yes it was a great weekend, and thanks to Craig for inviting me on his boat.
It is true that I would love now to catch another one, even bigger...
But I do know that it was a very lucky trip, and that it might not happen before a very long time, if ever.
I am still happy catching smaller and divers fish.
It is true also, that a big part of what I know about Barra fishing, I learnt it from this site.
And that the reel that I got my beautiful big girl on, is a reel that has recently been serviced by John from North Shore Reel Service, and that he did a great job on the reel.
I was not sure if I should keep the reel and try to get it fixed, or if I should get ride of it and get a new one.
He serviced it, and I can tell you that it worked a wonder.
Have a good day,
Pecheur

Pech,
You're a champion mate - a really well deserved catch.
And another gripping tale too - very inspiring.
Good on you!
Cheers
