Jeez talk about a kneejerk reaction nomad!

That sort of inane reactionary thought is turning the NT into Nanny Territory! So dog attack=Pit Bull Attack......great imagination mate, I'll give you that!

Wally sorry to hear about your dogs, hope they come good soon.

Jeez next thing people will want to ban double pluggers because of the risk of a stubbed toe !

I cant take my pits for a walk without taking a cattle prod to control the bitza pieces of cr.p that run out to have a go at them
I dont see any pits coming out after them
Media hype has got the pit a bad name
They excel at everything they do including fighting unfortunately
The past is history, the future is mystery, the moment is a gift and that's why it's called the present

Well sorry you pitty lovers but i have no time for them
A couple of years ago i had to jump a fence to help a kid being dragged
around the yard by a couple of pit bulls it was not a pretty sight both his legs and stomach
had been cut open and one of the dogs had swallowed his hand. I had to strangle the dog to get it to let go
and when i had the dogs mouth open it was like looking into a bucket its no wonder these types of dogs can inflict so much
damage. This poor kid has lost most of the use of his right hand due to crushed arteries and veins These two dogs were in a yard opposite the Anula
primary school, if not a total ban on them maybe a zoning thing

cheers

I love how a post that had nothing to do with a particular breed got hijacked. If you have a different agenda start your own thread. Packs of dogs roaming around suburban areas are a real threat, no matter if it's Darwin, Batchelor, Communities or Palmy. Responsible ownership not breed censorship is the answer. Sheeet it's obvious a lot of people don't know where their kids are at night let alone their pets

What do u honestly expect when you cross dog breeds???.... piece of sh!t mongrels. There goes many positive/normal traits that go with these breeds. Keep your dogs pure bred.

LOL, where do you think most 'pure' breeds came from, inbreeding is a bigger problem than mongrels....or should we all have wolves, dingos, basenjis.........

The breed of these dogs has nothing to with the way the dogs acted. It's the fact that they had a pack mentality due to being neglected by the old owners an fending for themselves.-

What punter said bout all dogs coming from two or more different breeds is true so

For eg.
Boxer comes from a the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser
English Bulldog is from the Asiatic mastiff and the pug

So maybe read up before sprouting off at someone for a true and correct statement.

It's not interesting at all IMHO Punter. Simply because the stats are from the US and Canada and have nothing to do with Australian stats at all.

Interesting that the "mongrel" cross bred pitties are less 'dangerous' ;-)

as Mark Twain said "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics.
