Help with Tidal adjustments.

Post by pms »

Dear FFF,

Please help to save my fishing career. My missus is understandably  when i get home 2hrs late from fishing trips :bricks:. With a new bub due in late June I need to get more accurate with get-home-times, so I'm trying to build a cheat-sheet containing boat ramp/creek access heights and tide adjustments.

So far I've downloaded all the NT boat ramps listed on Google maps and there is a limited list of adjustments available off the BOM site. I've added a couple of spots that I've been late with before, eg I spent one spring low at King Ck rockbar and I factored +2hrs for low tide adjustment but I was 1.5rs late home even with that.

Location / Access height (m) / Adjustment from Darwin (Spring H/ Spring L/ Neap H/ Neap L)
Buffalo Creek Ramp (Creek mouth)/ 4 m / (?/?/?/?)
Nightcliff Ramp / 2.5 m/ (?/?/?/?)

Hi Fruity, info from Drw Port Authority is already included. I am hoping for some FFF wisdom!

Hi AJay, "home by 2pm" gets gets a higher approval strike rate than "home for dinner"!
