Has anyone done the multi day trips on a charter out to the remote reefs?
Thinking of doing one later this year but my biggest concern is pulling fish from the deep there would be little choice but to keep them due to the barotrauma. Are there species out there unaffected by it?
I imagine your bag limit would get filled pretty quickly, potentially in the first day, and I am am unsure how the rest of the trip would be filled in. I assume a bit of trolling for pelagics etc.
Any thoughts/comments/experiences appreciated

Re: Extended charter
Larger tour operations have a a different bag system compared to rec anglers as far as I know from previous trips they have a day bag limit meaning well in a sense rape and pillage

Re: Extended charter
I used to do one once or twice a year for about 8 years. We had a great relationship which made the trip more fun. They were well into fish stock preservation and regularly suggested fishing in shallower waters to aid catch and release. We tagged literally hundreds of fish on board which they were happy to assist with. They were strict on counting all fish for reporting, and we were always within the bag limits.
Unfortunately they have retired otherwise I'd pass on their details in a flash.
