It is known that wastewater is chock full of the pharmaceuticals that people take, including street drugs.
It all gets flushed down the loo and ends up in sewage effluent that flows to sea, or into rivers.
Researchers found that fish will hang around where there are methamphetamines in the water at typical wastewater-related environmental levels.

You can be sure that Buffalo Creek's 'Green Creek' outlet is pumping plenty of waste meth ... gotta be a fish attractor, lol.
And barra hooked there will probably fight like crazy ...
Which reminds me of an old joke (already posted it before, it's all I've got ) ...
A bloke is using prawns for bait on the bank of Buff Creek and is catching nothing.
An old timer comes along and says: "Soak your prawn in my rum cobber, and then cast it out - trust me!"
So the fisho does what the old timer says and casts out the rum-soaked prawn.
Immediately the water boils and a barra jumps high in the air, shaking its head - the prawn has got the barra by the throat.
Another good reason to fish Buff Creek
