lol ponyplay nail it.
if your going down this weekend make sure you're there early and just follow the crowds - that's what everyone else does!

I'm a Daly virgin as well, even though I've been here 3 and a half years, but thought what the heck I'll give it a go this weekend for a bit of fun. Hopefully we get a couple but if not should still be a fun weekend on the water with the family.

Re: daly river
Rivers open. No bait as yet as it is all up on the flood plains. Find some colour change and fish on the down stream side of creek mouths in the swirling dirty/clean water. Fish big still as the little bait isn't hatched yet. Wont get many but still a chance of a meter plus fish. Go down till the banks are all exposed. Probably from Elizabeth down. 30km or so.

Re: daly river
Look for where all the flash boats with the things that look like flat screen TV's are trolling near the the banks
Pull up to the bank and throw your anchor up on it and throw a few livies out
Just wach out for the wash off their boats as they increase their trolling speed to about 70kph LOL

It's dropping like a stone, go down past Moon Billabong. As you fly past Moon, stop opposite the outlet and give it a good work over..........

Re: daly river
Don't go past Moon Billabong. Closed season at the moment. You might cop a day in court and a hefty fine. The cops will know that people will be heading there this weekend.Blinky wrote:It's dropping like a stone, go down past Moon Billabong.
