Re: Daly River
Fishing is slow, but some fish are being caught.
You will probably have the river to yourself, but you might see one or 2 other boats.
The water level is low, but if you know the river, you should not have any problems.
The Sand Bar above Woolianna is not passable most of the time. You can probably get around it, when the Tide is coming in. If you put the Boat in at the Boat Ramp, and go downstream You won't have too many problems.
Getting through Browns Creek, is a little bit tricky, but we have not had any problems. Others I have spoken to have had problems.
The Main Rockbar, 15 KM Down Stream, is always a Problem, but if you are aware of it, then it is nothing different to normal. There is no Marker there at present, so be careful.
Probably the biggest problem to be aware of, is if you have Motor Problems, or hit something, you will be out there alone. No one to tow you back to the Boat Ramp.

Went to the Daly last weekend 13th/14th Nov for only 2 Barra 47 an a 34 lol. Rock bar down stream has no maker only danger tape that blends in with the tree it hangs off. Could see the Barra on the sounder but just not luck!
