Cape Don

Post by Fishful »

I would like to do a big fishing trip one of these years 8-) . I have been thinking about going to Cape Don in the boat. ie Leave Buffalo Crk, Vernon Islands, across to Melville Island and up the East coast, then across to Cape Don. I would plan on taking 10 days or so to do it. :captain: It is roughly 160 km each way (say 400km round trip) :o . I have a few questions :-

1/ Does anyone know if you can get fuel or fuel drop from anywhere along the way. Maybe Cape Don would be best bet ?

2/ What time of year would be the best ? I would think about now ?

3/ Has anyone done this trip ?

Living out on Melville Island last year the petrol was $2.00 a litre adn $2.20 for diesel, it never changed, I am gathering it would be similar out that way.
