Sat night fish

Post by Notrealflash »

Went out with Doggies66 and another mate Sat night, armed with with hang overs from the large night before we set off in Doggies boat, heading out of the Harbour the swell was uncomfortable...

We decided to go and chance a harbour wreak, we anchored up on a wreak at the same time as two other boats to play the waiting game :coffee:

After an hour or so and little taken from any of the boats on the wreak we chanced the swell again and the gods were on our side, we pushed out to one of Doggies undisclosed marks to be hooking up soon as we anchored.

Taking a couple of power tails and small sharks Doggies decided to start with the keepers and brought the first keeper on board.
Landing a nice Goldie for the starter it was looking good, with the compulsory pictures being taken our mate decides to also take a pic, armed with his camera and no instruction manual on it's use I informed him of his rod doing the rod holder dance.
I jumped onto his rod to not loose any chances I pulled in a nice 63cm goldie, with our mate looking on with a look of oh F@#k that was mine I handed his rod back with a smile and thankyou...

Not long after at all our mate was on with what we thought was going to be good too, with his newly brought rod working over time we wathced it snap into two, while Doggies and I laugh we cheered him onto complete the catch to only have a look shattered when a powertail was on the end :bricks::evil:..

We pushed on with not a great deal more taken from that spot we moved to another mark of Doggies to again be on nearly straight away we were on, Doggies got another PB on a jew which was making sure he worked for his catch. with myself armed with the gaff waiting to complete the catch.. (I don't catch much but make up for it in my deck skills which are also low level but improving)
A couple of Jew landed by Doggies and not much more seeming to be getting landed for keepers we pushed home...

Anyway a good night fishing and once again thanks for the invite Doggies..
Here a couple of pics to enjoy

Well done guys. Good to see that you got on to some nice fish. :applause:

I contend that where you fish is the
most important factor in catching fish.

Hey Notreal not a bad report but you did forget to mention our mates fine contribution to the liquid burly trail on the night.

And yes I have to agree that you do currently seem to lack the ability to find fish on the end of your line but don't sell yourself short on your deckie abilities, after all you can lift heavy anchors and you have learnt to land fish with a gaff without scaring yourself and dropping the gaff . :banghead:

Also don't forget you did manage to hand ball the Mr Powertail label to our good friend.

Anyway glade you enjoyed the night we'll do it again soon....... :drinking1:

Have not dropped one fish your have caught (even though that is only one or two )

In the report I our poor friend lost his new rod and today he lashed out for a new combo again... this time I am oping we can report more....
