happy Fathers Day all you awesome Dads!! Took my bro and his Father in Law out for a blaze out the front of Lee Point this morning. And all we wanted to do was have a great time on the water, any fish would be a bonus..
Went for a quick jig at a few spots, to no avail, before making the choice to find Tuna.
Not much bird action around..before we started to see action.
Peter got his 1st Tuna ever, and now insists we call him "John West" or Mr West. Ha ha. Qantas coloured rig did the damage, on the troll.
Good times!

Had a relaxing trip out to the beach to soak a few live mullet. Ended up getting a few sharks and saw a pretty friendly croc but no barra this time 'round.

This little fella from an unlikely place in the Harbour on Saturday and the big fella took a half hour after pulling anchor to get some line back. Love getting a look at what’s at the end of the line instead of a bust off.

Tiny bait by the 100s that fitted throgh the cast net at HR mouth. Saw no popeyes except for 2 in the 1km stretch that we were in, a few whiting and a feed of prawns was all that was around this weekend. We caught nothing but sharks on them and lost a good hit on a new 200mm lure, watched a bloke overheat an orange hovercraft trying to get upriver for half an hour and got some decent sunburn too.

But.....I stood on a stingrays tail then its flap and didn't get nailed by the barb so I am counting this trip as a win. :drinking28:
