headed out with high hopes early in the morning. road was in good condition considering the recent damage reports and closures. still a few spots to bring you undone, but all good.
water was a bit lower than i expected, but still plenty flowing over the barrage for easy launching. few big ruts in the turn area, even managed to loose the number plate of the trailer.
fished the mouth most of the day. frustrating to see others landing threadies, didnt see any monsters caught either. saw one barra landed. plenty of blokes with their nets out, but not us.
headed upstream for a look, pulled up at a creek that looked good with some bait as we were flying past. spun around, third cast, 55cm on the deck. mucked around with that for a bit, my mate got nothing, then i threw back in, coupld of cast later, 65cm on the deck. then that was it, not more boofing, which was quite frequent beforehand.
played with some tarpon at the barrages and headed home. not too bad, but some threadies would have been nice.
