Shoal bay and wiltshires the Sunday

Post by Hally10 »

Haven't been out there before and keen to give it a crack. Was going to launch at buff in the morning for an all dayer. Anyone have thoughts on this or any recommendations.

Give it a crack, there's nothing like the feeling of winging along with .4 under you on a dropping tide... nothing like it at all

Careful of the vernons at low tide and remember that the tides are a good 1.5 hours later then Darwin. And the wind wont be nice in the afternoon coming back but on a positive note if you leave it late enough you shoot along the waves from Stephens Point to the outer blue whole on gun point and cut back through that as the tide rises and hug the coast to Buff creek. Unless the wind turns more west, then have fun smashing into it all the way home.

Is there any easier closer launch sites. May give it a miss for a first time out, sounds a bit daunting
