Fishing in Shoal Bay Sunday.

Post by Scamper »

Boats every where in the bay, so got away from the crowds up a creek.
Put the crab pots in for 7 crabs.
My boat:- fishing was ok, 6 under size barra, 30 to 50 cm, salmon and cod.
Mates boat beside me, no crabs but Barra, 66cm and 69cm, Salmon:- 75cm and 78cm and a croaker.

Goods day out, healthy fishing still to be had.

Shame about the barra being undersize, were you using the same technique as the other boat?

That's more than a lot of boats that did serious distances this weekend!

Nice one. We fished shoal bay 3 days over weekend , boated 25 jacks 15 Barra 10 crabs a few queen fish a stoker flat head and our boat got charged by a massive grouper had to have been 2m long while casing lives in the shallows. But all Barra under size except 2 , were surprised by all the jacks kept 10 nothing under 40cm and me and my mate got a pb jack each 51,53. Will post sum pics..
