I just received some new lures.

Post by Pecheur »

Hi there,

Some time ago I got a phone call from the Australian importer of the Ofmer lures.
(And yes he is a member of this forum, this is how he first got in contact with me).
He basically asked me if I wanted to try his lures in the Top End Barra Series.
I said Yes...

And today I received 6 free lures that I will put to use in the next round of the Series, and actually maybe even try them a bit before that if I find myself in a Barra fishing situation again.

They look goods, and very well finished, now I just hope that the Barras will like them too, at least this is some lure that they won't have seen before.

So here are a few pics of these lures.

Have a good day,
Pecheur

That 110 Minnow looks the business

There is no way I am going to stand on the banks of Buffalo Creek in the dark... Not even for a meter Barra...
And I have never killed a croc.

Faulksy, next time that your in Darwin, would you mind explaining that one to my beloved wife?
It seems that she does not really agree with this simple fact...

That I will know for sure only after testing it, but yes it look good.

On the back of the packaging of the Minnow it says Hook: Cultiva ST-46 (Japan Owner Hook).
That is all I know at the moment, I guess that only when a barra will be on them I will really know of their qualities.

Have a good day,

i would probaly upgrade the hooks and ring just to be safe... you dont want to hook a horse and have her straighten them out. i like to looks of them though especially the MJ POP....

That minnow looks deadly, looks like a rediys/bomber cross breed.

Does he need any other testers?? :naughty:
Fishing in the top end isn't just a matter of life or death, it's much much more serious than that.

Hi Tissy,

I don't think that they are being sold in Darwin yet.
From what I understand the guy is still in the process of looking for retailers to sell his products.
But do not quote me on this, as I have a tendency to easily misunderstand things...
:bonk:

If ever I learn more about it, I will let you know.

Have a good day,
Pecheur
