Looking for a fish!

Post by tjp »

Hi all.
I have just moved to darwin with my partner from victoria. I am planning on buying a boat but my Skiboat at home hasn't sold yet, therefor I am boat less for the moment. If anyone out there has a spare spot or has no one to go with please let me know i would love to come.
I have my own rods and a few lures, and and happy to help out with fuel etc. I would be happy to tow the boat with my vehicle. I have a landcruiser v8ute, although it's only a single cab.

I no it's a long shot but love my fishing and I have to start somewhere cheers in advance.

Welcome tjp, while waiting for boat trips try the Stokes Hill wharf or catch the ferry and try Mandorah wharf, you will find plenty of tips on here, boating trips at this time depend on what the weather is doing.

welcome tjp, it's not a long shot asking for a trip. Fisho's love company, and some time our trusty deckies are indisposed.

Yeah welcome aboard mate...

How flexible with work etc are ya mate?
I usually fish during the week when everyone else is working... Hence im often heading out solo.. If your flexible with times your welcome to come along for a flick.
Im on a course at the moment for next few weeks and the weather is what it is at the moment.... But will get back out there first chance.

Welcome mate,
I don't own a boat but do a fair bit of land based fishing, don't catch too often though lol. But happy to show you a few land based spots where I have been successful.

Good on you for getting out there amongst everyone! Way to put yourself in the deep end!
Everyone one on here will give you a load of good oil and hopefully someone can give you a ride one day, if I ever need a deckie I'll keep this post in mind, by the way, can you tie your own knots??? Haha
