Don't know. It was 2 years ago and I was new to fishing so i just went fishing and didn't know much about tides. It was in april I think and we went to catch barra and had planned to get locked in at love creek but ended up out the front. I think it was high tide late in the arvo and low about 2300 but that is about it. We gots lots of mixed reef fish in the arvo and at the turn of the tide at night we caught about 50 p o w e r t a i l before one last cast and caught this fish. I remember it was in pretty shallow water. The photo won me a rod from the nt news fish of the week comp. It was my first big jew fish and i won a rod from it so I was pretty happy about that.

I have found coming off Neaps best - but any change of tide can work - this time of year is great . Use the marks in The FFF book as a start and sound around - heaps of rumble around there, it only needs to come up a foot or so off the ground - give it 30min then move around to you find fish. Then you have your very own spot -

Nite is most productive... Watch out for storms --- the waves are big and steep as it is shallow water.
