GDay Folks
I am looking to head over to Dundee for a weekend soon, and was wondering if there any decent landbased spots where you can setup a couple of chairs, esky in the middle and drown some bait?
Not looking for someones favourite spot - just never really explored other than an initial visit, and would like to relax with a rod in one hand and a beer in the other.
Thanks in advance for any info.
cheers

Info request - landbased at Dundee
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

If you can throw a cast net you should be able to set up near some rocks in the beach and catch queenfish, barra and trevally

If you have a backpack and don't mind walking, the rocks near the creek north of the lodge are a great place. There is a 4WD track around the back, but I don't know what access is allowed at the moment.
If you want to walk all the way to Native Point where Bynoe starts, there are two more good rock patches there too. Great fishing but it is a long walk. Need to fish it on a rising tide.
They get big baz on the rocks south of the boat ramp on calm high tides, usually in the morning. Hardly any walking needed.
You can also take a 4WD to the bank of the Finniss (some soft sand must be crossed). You can fish off the river bank - keeping in mind the many crocs.
