Landbased pack
Hello forum, looking to enquire what people take when they go fishing Landbased, e.g. what bag, essential gear and lures. The reason I am enquiring is because I am looking to cut down the weight of my bag when I go fishing Landbased, as it currently weighs around 5-6kg depending on how much I bring. Thanks

Sounds good, thanksFlickin4em wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 11:46 am 3.5- 4.5 kg without the water bottle as my lures are mostly 150-240mm except for the prawns and soft vibes YG. Ive found BIG placcies or spare sinkers are most of this weight aswell as the water weighing 1kg a litre. Most of the time I don't use even half the lures I carry though but "I might need one of those ones" and would be spewing if it was at home.

I think Flicken hit the nail on the head mate. Def have a variety of the lures on hand, you never know what they be eating at the time. Def a first aid kit too, with some hand sanitizer as well, in case you get any cuts. The lighter is a good idea incase you encounter leeches, and maybe take a small sachet of salt for leeches as well.
I usually take a landing net as well, but that's just me.
Nice work this year mate. You've caught some good fishes!

Re: Landbased pack
Cheers Captain, yeah I'll have to add a first aid to the bag. Otherwise I'm OK at the moment, now I've got a pack for Landbased missions where I'll be walking/travelling a lot, and a pack full of hooks, more lures, sinkers etc. for trips where I won't be travelling too much/boat trips.
