Just came back watch the many rock bars and logs sticking out of the water everywhere! Green lures worked best with all fish we landed and seen landed on green. Green bomber and laser pros

G'day Edo,
The river is just about back to a normal environment so it depends on the tides buddy. If you are going down on the larger tides I would recommend trolling up the guts of the river on the incoming tide with the best time being at the top of the tide. Try to get down around Elizabeth river and then head back upstream on the troll and troll at 12 to 13 kms per hour with shallow lures.eg big bombers etctetc.if you are on the nears tides just troll where ever you like and look for the snags. That's where the fish are hanging. I would recommend that you buy the fish finder waypoint card as it has all the creeks, snags that are know listed and you will feel a bit safer traveling down the river. There is a large rockbar about 5 kms before Elizabeth river. Always keep to the centre of the left hand side of the river and you won't hit any rocks . I hope this helps mate. Good luck!!,

if there is any creek flowing into the river flick it. You never know what's sitting there.

Edo, since you are new up here, just remember to be "croc wise" as there are a heap of big lizards in that river. There was a recent report of a BIG checks croc around Clear Creek. If you find that a croc is hanging around your spot... Time to find another location. You'll probably find that any fish have buggered off as well. All the best. OB

Plastics n hard body colors green, white, gold. Plastics work better casting, yards trolling. As mentioned Elizabeth creek area is probably the best place about 20km downriver. As mentioned cast at creeks on the outgoing, troll the middle from 1/2 tide up as that is where the mullet are. The slower the tide gets the better chance of a fish until it starts running out again. Good luck

Being a first timer, I would highly recommend following another boat down the River.
