Re: How was the Darwin boat show?
I only go for a quick gander each year, more for the barra & chips than anything. Didn't go on, but Dundee Lodge's new charter is a big girl. Didn't seem to be any more or less than previous years, though I wasn't there long. Dropped some dollars in for 99's flight. I'll be back next year as I really do rate the barra & chips.

i thought it was smaller too, and the seminars getting done in the main arena, kept getting trumped by the pa system, so the speakers would have to start and stop al the time

I enjoyed it, few good boats to look around in and upgraded the electronics in my boat. Just need to make it all fit on the dash lol

Re: How was the Darwin boat show?
I took the wife and kids for a walk through yesterday. it did seem a little more compressed, but overall I think its a good effort that they even manage to run a show each year up here. Given the cost of staging these type of events, even from just an insurance point of view, and the reluctance of some of the bigger stores in town to have sites at the show, I think the overall show is a reasonable event to waste a few hours at dreaming of new toys

Couldn't bring myself to go, I have been disappointed with the boat show every year since they moved it from Marrara.
