HDS Shots

Post by fff1964 »

Siad i would post a couple of shots from my HDS.
Still need some practice these were taken in shallow water.
And the camera does not do it justice, i will figure out how to record data and put a few more up if any one is interested.
Any tips from other users would be appreciated.

Cheers fff1964

Doesn’t the HDS have a snap shot option?

Have not found it yet Blinky, though wish i had saw an old pot or cage on the Daly while i was there for the Nats could seethe mesh and evry thing.
I will try to find that option and post some better shots in deeper water.

I heard that Lowrance have got some software updates that will insure that your imported HDS will not work in Australia.
Was from a dealer. He didnt seem impressed when I told him that was yet another reason not tobuy their product.

HDS 7

Post by dinkum »

Hey Angry,I have the HDS 7 with structure scan and it works great. No probs straght out of the box.The only downside with the 7 is you can only split the screen in half.Wth the 8 & 10 you can split the screen up to 3 or 4 boxes if you want.Other than that its awsome. All the promos and demos you see is exactly what youll get...

That second last pic of the tree is great, what freq, palate etc are you using? I had some great downscan images going over one of the catalinas but i didn't get a photo. I'm still learning to use my 7 with Structure scan.

$695 for structure scan.

Guy's these are pretty average shots as Blinky said you can record straight to SD card.
Pallet is 6 i think will check contrast is important around 65% on 800khz you can zoom in a little better like i said will post a few more as i go with different pallets if anyone is interested very shallow stuff so not ot bad.

Cheers
