Shoal Bay Crabs

Post by balou »

SusieQ and I went up Shaol Bay on last Friday chasing barra but they werent playing the game so we had to settle for some crabs. It was our plans to hit shady but with the road closure SB was plan b.

We were up spot 6 and heard of a few in the 90s caught for the day on LB.

We came home with 18 crabs which was a get dya out.

Cozzy I find the 3 hours across the top or bottom of the tide are the most productive. When we only want o chase crabs we go there for the high tide but if we plan to chase barra for the day we go a couple hours after hightide and stay there till we can get back out.

Good size crabs there balou, great pic, thanks for sharing.

Havn't been out lately for a go, might have to have a look this week
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Yep guys cant beat Shoal Bay for crabs, we too got about 20 decent size crabs yesterday. We were also lunky enough to get an 80cm and 98cm Barra.
