Rough Dundee

Post by Lats »

Went to Dundee today. Hoping to get very wide and explore some new ground. It was rough and uncomfortable all day. On the way out to Witches Nose I launched over a wave and buried the nose in. Nearly pooed me pants.

So we moved in closer to the coast and all up I managed 3 coral trout and a rock cod. My decky caught bat fish and a mother in law

Didn't get one over the bow, thank God. But on the way out to Witches Nose the main swell was on my Stbd quarter, with another swell on the Stbd beam with the 10-15kts of wind. The spring tide was against it all. Spent the whole time trying not to surf any waves on that angle but on really stood up as I went over its peak. Dug the nose into the trough and got very side on and ugly :surf:
