I know someone who gave a longgrasser last year $20 to untie about 12 dinghys on there one day.... Frig it was p.ss funny.... Immature! But p.ss funny!!

contact the harbour master, etc etc. but never interfere with other people's gear. anyone who does is no better than the nnnnn who steal stuff

FYI...

Ramps arent under the harbour masters control.
It actually falls under the dept of transport. Ring their general enquires number if need be.

my understanding is that the DOT is responsible for maintenance but the harbour master is responsible for policing moorings and boat movements etc. that'S what HE told me

I'm sure all sides will do a lot of hand balling !!! That's gov!!

There's fat chance the harbour master would touch that issue!!!
I did some work to the pontoon a while back and it was listed as a DOT installation.

Harbour master can only control what the port corp own... He wont tell you what to do at a ramp..
Boat ramps and other facilities fall under DOT, marine safety, Infastructure etc
