Concrete slabs at Dinah Beach pontoon?

Talk about bungled boat ramps, net buybacks, marine no-go zones, mining disasters etc here.

either the harbour master or dept infrastructure look after it. Both will pass the buck though

I contacted fisheries and asked if they were aware.

Probably would have more luck with AFANT or the Tinny Boys.

More channel yacht moorings for the cyclone season. (or they will be picked up and placed up a creek) most are gone if thats all that are left...

Thats good news then, as they will only be temporary. Still no excuse for not having them clearly marked when they are such a hazard.

It's the Darwin port authority responsibility to approve this if they are cyclone moorings. But having dealt with this pack of incompetents before you have no hope of an explanation or even a response. Hope they get moved on Thanks for the heads up. bl..dy dangerous.

Definatly cyclone moorings. Surprised they have been left there. I'm guessing they have been made and payed for by a amature that is tring to do it on the cheap.

Got an email from NTG yesterday saying they had removed the slabs

"Thanks for your email, we appreciate it and rely heavily on this sort of public information.

We have since removed the blocks from the water, thus removing the hazard.

In the future, if you have any complaints about marine issues or any concerns, please feel free to email them to [email protected] and we will follow them up."

Well Done Marine Safety.
