Information I got this morning is that the boat show folded mainly for organisational reasons, some organisers wanted to step down and there wasn't anyone keen to replace them.

Agree, boat show has been cr.p ever since it moved from Marrara, overpriced and not enough stalls/holders. Went to the footy in Melb last year and also went to their 4x4, camping and fishing show, for $20 entry it was the best value. Spent most of the day there. Now I understand that they have the population etc, but surely we can find a venue that's cheap enough for lots of stall holders and encourage all fishing/boating/camping/car businesses to turn up. I am positive it would be well patronised if we had a big variety of products and actual show specials. Just my 2c worth anyway
