I think the rules said that the registered boat owner gets the points for the round but you could get the prize if that fish won the round. I don't like it that way so I would say that you should get the points as you are registered and caught the fish so I would accept it but not sure on others thoughts.

If the deckie is registered separately for the comp I'll send the prize direct to the deckie, but if an unregistered deckie caught the fish then I'll send it to owner of the registered boat (the skipper). 'Registered deckie' might mean someone who has their boat registered but fishing on another registered boat, or a landbased entrant fishing on a registered boat (no 10cm bonus for the fish tho if not caught landbased).
Any deckie on a registered boat can enter a fish simply because it's so easy to cheat. Some skippers would claim a fish regardless who caught it - it's almost a moot point who caught it.
And the skipper's skill arguably counts most, he/she is supposed to put deckies onto the fish etc, so the skipper should get the glory anyway.
All the deckie does is crank a reel handle and suck p..s all day
If the skip is a decent sort of person he or she will handball the prize over to the deckie if he or she caught a winning fish.
My name's Malcolm and now that's all clear, fish on.

So what if the skipper caught the fish and the deckie is claiming it?
Just joking, show us ya cards curt.

A small toga from a solo land based trip to a small upper Mary River (McKinley area) billabong from yesterday.
This one went 60 cm the big ones would not come back through the lily’s.

Pretty tough on the billabongs at the moment for barra,at least the togas were keen, ended up with a few the other day from corroboree, all around the same size 59cm and caught on squidgy slick rigs rigged weedless.

Good to see a freshie barra, CC's nickname should be "Day 29".
Just a reminder on the rules: " Landbased fish have to be caught from landbased spots readily accessible by road - no landbased entries taken from shore after getting there in a boat. "
The reason for this rule was to give people without a boat a fighting chance.
I'll leave it to your honesty on that one Peter

All good there Matt. Its readily accessible by road if you have a decent 4wd. I could PM you a google map if I had to prove it.
