I have a HDS with side scan and its awsome.Saw the mesh on a steel crab one day clear as a bell.
Can't say they are the best but VERY happy with it.

I have a Lowrance, don't know how Bushie set his up but you do have to turn it ON. I have a HDS with side scan and its awsome.
