FFFers can advertise private items on FFF free of charge, but any commercial products must be sold via the paid banner advertising at the top of the page.
If your business buys a banner then you can plug your product within the forums (within reason). The banners are cheap and the revenue offsets FFF running costs.
I have deleted a couple of commercial posts recently, hence this reminder.
