swim bladders

Post by max »

for those unsure of deflating a fishes swim bladder just read an article which explains it pretty well:draw an imaginary horizontal line back from the top of the fishes pectoral (side) fin then another line vertically down from the base of the fourth dorsal spine where the lines intersect is the perfect spot to vent the fish lean your deflating device towards the rear of the fish at an angle of about 45 degrees, it is the same for all species, however red emporer dont have this problem.I went to the local quack and they gave me some large gauge needles which work well.
