I've made a clip on boat tent to be able to put up in a hurry at night and also to pack down better than my giant tarp.

It clips on under the lip of the canopy so the rain off the canopy doesn't run in and the side panels are long enough to drape down over the gunwales so the water doesn't run down them and into the boat

I can also just have a side panel on with or without the canvas covering the fly mesh for some arvo shade.

I've sewn it all up out of a second hand king swag and a packet of press study, looking forward to testing it out!

That looks good , I use a big poly tarp and it's a pain trying to get it over the canopy tie it down , eyelets are never where you want them and pack up is roll it up into a big ball and try jam it into a hatch.

Yep done that a few times including last year when I fished 4 very soggy days in the March monsoon, hard to pack up a wet 7m tarp
This will be much smaller and will fit in a small bag I'm making from the last scraps. 60 bucks for the swag and somes stainless press studs
I've made it so it can be clipped up from the inside (i.e. under cover) and a will add a couple of lashing points for strong wind

Clever!

That and the ladder lookout should be sold as a kit!
