Been a bit down in dumps this year. Went fishing late October to try to clear away those big black clouds.

Ended up coming $500 second in the fhreadie side of a competition that's run here.

15 threadies for a bit over19 metres with 1 threadie under 118cm (tail tip measure). That one was 86cm and all that was left after it got sharked. But the 86cm remaining counted.

Highlight was a 127 cm black jew that we had to chase for 500m to get him into boat. Got other fish as well (barra @ 92cm, blue salmon, cod etc as by-catch and which count for zip in threadie comp.)

All caught on vibe lures.

One metal vibe (supposedly indestructible) turned out not to be so. Owner ST44 treble opened up on it as well. Hammered it back into shape and lost it on the next cast to another threadie.

Threadies will pull a barra backwards and I thought that the black jew was a giant threadie at first.

Jeez it pulled.

Felt good after the outing.

I haven’t touched the water for 13 weeks now
Maybe I need a week off work for some of the medicinal qualities that fishing gives us.
