C-map Genesis

Post by hobbsy »

How many people on the forum are using the C-map genesis function? Its been a while since I've updated my electronics, the newest I had was the LCX27 some years ago. I've been madly researching the newest fanbangled equipment and Genesis live is a function I'm interested in as it can map areas that aren't on our common maps like Navionics & C-map.

I haven't got my units yet so unable to register & contribute to the site.

Some questions I have if people are willing to participate in are:

Do people use it and upload to the social maps? I understand not everyone is willing to give their spots away.

How much of the Darwin/NT is on the social site?

Is it as good as advertised?

Can you map while on the plane?

what transducer setting should you use (downscan, CHIRP, side scan, tripple shot or other)?

I hope this thread will induce some conversation that help all.

Rghto, I've got my units & registered them on the social map site.

Anyone on here using them?

I'm hoping to add to the community some maps & wondering if any others are using it and got any information on it?
