BARRA CLASSIC 2007 RESULTS
Results of 2007 Barra Classic:
Champion Team- Science Fiction - John Roberts, Robert McCourt, Phil Clark.
Champion Local - Team Woodstock - Michael Dickinson, Richard Dickinson, Pete O'Sullivan.
Champion Mixed - Team Fusion - Ron Bochow, Barry Burgum, Dallas Smith.
Champion Visitor - Minn Kota - Tim Morgan, Shaun Clancy, Dick Morrison.
Champion Angler - Barry Burgum.
Champion Female Angler - Carolyn Forrest.
Most Meritorious Catch - Jamie Ware - 102 cm.
Approx 980 fish caught for the 5 days......well down on previous years.
We (Blinky's Blazers) had the big crash & burn.........in the top 10 for the first two days and then had trouble keeping the fish on the lure, found plenty and extracted the hits, but just couldn't keep them pinned.
The kids day went off a treat...... around 40 Barra caught between 59 budding anglers. A great day had by all with the kids going home with a tackle box full of goodies thanks to the generous sponsors of the day. This event is now a feature of all future Barra Classics.

Thanks Palm Fishing Club
I’d like to commend the Palmerston Fishing Club organizing and running the kids fishing competition.
What a fantastic concept!
I would like to congratulate all the people involved in this event. I know many hours of hard work, behind the scenes, went in to making this event the success it was. Also thanks to the teams who contributed their time and boats to give these kids a unique opportunity.
A special thanks to The Mongrel’s Team for taking excellent care of my kid. He talks about the fishing trip all the time with a smile on his face and a glint in his eye.
One thing that he said to me was, “ Dad, after 20 minutes on the boat it felt like I’d always fished with those guys.â€Â

D.F.C.
My apologies Darwin Fishing Club.
I am talking about the same fishing comp. Yes the kids day just before the Barra Classic. I thought Palmerston as the bus left from Palmerston Leisure Centre and yes I’d love to see the pics.
Thanks Blinky for setting me straight.
Look forward to those pics.
Cheers

kids
Fantastic stuff with the kids. Love it that the guys take some time out to invest in the next generation. Hopefully everyone learnt something that will last them for life.

Great Pics
Hey Great photos Blimky that's my Nick hooking into the fish. Good to see it's not only me he out fishes.
A point of correction, only one of those kids in the boat belongs to me but I guess we belong to much wider family group.
Thanks again Blinky, you captured a special moment.
Cheers
