Bigger is better with Stabi’s. The interior space is too small with 1550.

If you are only chasing Barra, love super remote, bank launching type of fishing, with only 2 ppl in the boat then maybe the 1550.
But if you want to hit the blue. Do extended trips by boat. Fish with more then 2 ppl at a time. Then definitely the 1850.
Still small enough for remote trips. I have back launches mine on some pretty average banks. Can do a trip across to the tiwis no worries. Get me everywhere I want to for Barra fishing. There’s probably less then 100mm in the amount of water they draw.

Re: stabi 1550 or 1850 frontier.
its the usual problem we all have ,one boat to do all fishing activities. the allrounder ,so I think Il keep the old shitter 1996 stacer nomad centre console with the 3rd upgrade of evinrudes ,currently a 40 hp elec trim. its done some serious poop. numbwar ,whyndam ,king river ,keep river ,mumbilla ,its light don't have to worry about more dints.a couple of pop rivets fixed the few pinholes lol. this boats caught lots of fish, only issue its small for any distance . so may have to have 2 boats and go for the 1850 frontier . going to spend the warmer months at Katherine hopefully do a new build so my options are open, cheers and thanks for the opinions .
