Recently purchased a Penn 750 SSM. Was fishing an incoming at East Point rocks and hooked onto something big. Unfortunately my rod snapped. Anyway, I rigged myself back up and hooked onto a stripey, only to notice something unusual. Although the drag was working, the clicker noise which usually comes with drag tension disappeared.
Was wondering if anyone knew what the problem may be and if it's worth fixing? It's a brand new reel, which kinda makes the whole situation a bit disappointing.

Re: Penn 750 SSM Drag Problems
So I found out the problem was the internal clicker. I fiddled round with it and managed to get it working, however every time I hook onto a big fish I have to take the spool off and adjust the clicker once again. I didn't mind doing this, however I recently hooked onto a big fish.....adjusted the clicker....and now the noise is really faint. I mean is it worth fixing? I am still catching fish but I just can't hear the scream of the reel.
