Pig Hunting

Post by Territory_Tuff »

Gday all,

Im keen on pig hunting but a bit closer to home, went out today around acacia creeks were all full and all grass was looking really green, but couldnt seem to find any pig tracks and the dogs couldnt get onto anything. We have got a fully decked landcruiser and quads Does anyone know any spots that we could try our luck?

Kind Regards,
TT :D

Mate you really need to know people up here to allow you access on to thei properties or go a fair way out to get some, problem is there is so many people ruining it for the genuine ones by cutting fences and shooting stuff they shouldn't be for pet meat. Which is why setting foot onto certain properties I know will result in the poop hitting the fan quickly if caught.
As long as your only using knives and dogs, try bynoe harbour access rd maybe. I know some boys that do well out there.
I have a lot of vacant land at the back of my property but unsure where the aboriginal land starts, your welcome to pm me and I can show you the tracks, and tell you were else to try out this way I know most tracks from acacia to Darwin river from four wheel driving but as I said not sure who's land I'm on at times which is why the guns stay put until I know it's safe to shoot.

Ps- be careful on marrakai track, locals are getting sh..ty with piggers out there including my cousin who lately caught guys shooting his pet buff, and let's just say they ended up looking down the barrel of a rifle and two dead dogs.

Old byno harbour road always worth a look and the sneaky tracks around there. Not sure who owns it

If you mob are not sure who owns property out Old Bynoe way then stay out of there . I'll tell you it is part of Kenbi Land claim and the owners live at Belyuen . There are also private leases in around the harbour.i can also tell you that if the T/O's catch you out there pushing new tracks with your quads you will wish that you never stepped foot in there !
Just a friendly heads up boys , put pen to paper and start writing to station owners , ie , Elizabeth river Downs

yeah all the land on marakai track is "OWNED" most before the adelaide river is PRIVATE PROPERTY and pretty sure after adelaide river is aboriginal land
