12v Esky Coolers

Post by buzzdog »

Hi everyone,
Was just wondering if there's a 12v product you can place in your esky to chill it a little?

Something along these lines

I've got a car fridge but was more thinking of something to lower the temp of the esky to prolong the life of the ice.

Cheers

If you make your own ice add salt to the water. Takes ages to freeze but lasts twice as long as normal ice and sits well below freezing.

Hi Brent,
When I'm planning trips I make a heap of block ice and freeze them to -60oC below, usually lasts up to 6 days. Was just wondering if there was a way to slow the melting process.

Throw a 125litre bottle with ice in a day before and leave closed.

Have been using frozen gel packs like used in medical packs and work way better than ice.
