Seems there's an app for everything now days. Ive only just started getting into it cause I bought my 5 year daughter an ipad for her birthday. She wanted it more then having a party with her friends. I ended up paying for both the ipad and party.

So far my favourite 3 apps are

1 NRL live
2 Navtronics maps
3 willy weather

NT tide times is really good for $2. Can select anywhere around darwin and it calculates the tide times.

Flashlight, shazam, beachfront app (get free drink each time u go or do what i do. drive their check in then go home. then save them up and go get blind for free hahahah) convert units, spirit level, footy live (afl/nrl) emoji (cool emotions for text messages)

Navionics AU&NZ - it isnt free ($14.95) but turns your mobile device into a GPS and allows you to cache satellite images if the area your going to doesnt have mobile coverage. Think there was a thread on here about it not too long ago ..
