New smaller Honeywell Spectra fiber

Post by Paulus »

Hi Guys.

Some time back Honeywell introduced a new smaller Spectra fiber into the market place, up till then the smallest Spectra fiber strands were 100 denier strands, this new fiber is made up into a 75 denier strands.

This new Spectra fiber is being used in the manufacture of Hollow braids as a 40lb line, it consists of 12 strands of 75 denier.

This has opened up a new area for Spectra and now this 75 denier fiber is available in 6 strand and 8 strand solid braided lines.

These new lines are nominated as,
25lb 6 strand solid braid with a bs of 39lb, diam 0.262mm.
30lb 8 strand solid braid with a bs of 49lb, diam 0.299mm.
40lb 12 strand Hollow braid with a bs of 77lb, diam 0.310mm.

These are thin strong lines, so you may get a liile more on your spool, available in the Tasline range.
