seen on the news last night.
a boat from "Hobart Street in the new suburb of johnston"
was knocked off. said was behind a locked gate and the thiefs used bolt cutters to gain acess.
looked like a decent size 5M or there abouts boat. in good nick/new.
WTF - hope it was insured. the poor bloke.

I hope the thing was insured.
Just a reminder to everyone, take lots of photos of your boat including the 'little' things that can identify it.
Make a few of your own personal identification marks and hide them where the crooks wont look
I had a boat pinched in NSW years ago and my photos helped the coppers 4 years later when they found it.

if it's the boat in todays paper, it wasn't in a yard it was parked in a vacant block next to the house and chained to their fence, asking for trouble that is

it happens more then you think. especially at the howie lights on the side of the road. pretty stupid when you leave it chained there at night!! what do you thinks gonna happen? someone driving home at 1am is gonna stop and have a look and call you to buy it?
