Re: Headtorches
2rods I thought you were a fan of Dolphin torches??
Ive got a H14 and it gets pounded from hunting and fishing and still going good. I got a stack of AA batteries so just take a few 4 packs for a weekend and she's all good. Bought mine for 85 bucks from All Tools.

Fishing in the top end isn't just a matter of life or death, it's much much more serious than that.

Headtorches
What would u guys recommend for camping and fishing? The H7 or the H14? Can you dim them when needed? Also how bulky is the 14? Is it uncomfortable?

Re: Headtorches
Fishing I try not to use lights, so H7 would be plenty. If your doing crazy landbased at night h14 might make spotting crocs easier.. but I reckon puts the fish off. Better off puckering up and using your night eyes!Est_1982 wrote:What would u guys recommend for camping and fishing? The H7 or the H14? Can you dim them when needed? Also how bulky is the 14? The H14 takes 4 AA batteries and the pack sits on the back of your head but if you do the straps up correctly it fits fine. I run chasing pigs through the scrub and hitting trees and going arse up and it hasnt come off. Not sure of the H7 but the H14 has like 8 different lighting options like dim, bright, strobe, SOS..
Depends what your using it for at the end of the day.

Yer Pete that was the H14. Speaking of 4 mile... Might do a run there when (or if) it opens..

Re: Headtorches
H14 is the go, you cam dim it, adjust to spot or wide beam.
As Turtle said it has about 84 different settings.
Doesn't take long to get used to the battery pack on the back of your noggin.
