Weedies rigging

Post by Nofo »

I am unfortunate not to see or find any pre rigged weedless soft plastic in any stores

so i embarked in rigging them myself, 2 tries later i am keen for a little helping hand

care to share the knowledge on how to properly rig them? :)

I've been using the big squidgy fish rigged like this for a while...they go pretty good, you gotta chop the head back a bit to get the hook to sit along it's back neatly slooow retrieves work best for me they wobble around and have a nice rolling action

They gave a demo at the BCF night on Wednesday. Basically the same set up as itsinmeblood above. Only difference is the hook used. Don't know the name of them, but they're big arse hooks with a 90 degree kink at the loop.

yeah big hooks for barra the squidgies are naturally buoyant so they counteract the lead weight a bit they swim about 20cm on a slow retrieve good for working deep in snags
