My First Meterey

This is my first (one of only three) metre barra. It was taken when I still had hair.

She's a nice fish mate, looking a bit worse for wear tho. Did she go back?

No, the lure was right down its throat, a six inch Nils from memory, which did a bit of damage on the way in, and sustained a bit more on the way out. We were a bit brutal way back then, and barbless hooks were not around in those days, and the two blokes I had with me from SA wanted to take the fillets. They were welcome, too big for my taste. I have since released a couple of larger, and un-measured fish in the same system, one of which I caught again the day after first catching it.
