couple of cairns crabs

first time i used the chicken frames and got these little critters... The pots were loaded but only 3 keepers, enough to keep the worms fed!

Nice work Pegleg. You getting/had much rain over there? I've loaded up the boat for a spot of crabbing tomorrow. Will post (hopefully) some pics of their parents.

Havent had to much rain at the moment but they reckon its on its way... hey olfart i caught them up the inlet towards redbank, met a mate up there checkin his pots and one had been smashed up by a croc and the others had nudda, so i was lucky i guess, he was using the same bait..

Got three today as well. Rough as guts on the harbour. Four big blue swimmers as well. A billion cat-fish

Never seen anyone try to juggle mud crabs before (pic 2). Nice feed. :mrgreen:
