Flathead... the "Summer" fish
Recently went back home to Port Macquarie and had a fish in some of my old haunts for flathead. When I was growing up they were considered a summer only fish. The old spots still producing the goods.... very healthy river since the nets were removed many years ago. In 2 trips (1 trip with a mate) we would have landed 35 and about 15 legal

Good to see the old haunts fishing well.
Flathead are the main target where I live but they are small. Tasty tho.

First fish I ever caught on a lure was a nice flatty. It was a pink mr twister
