Hello, My name is Helen Harmsworth and I am the missus of Harmsey. I have recently become a mother to Katie 3 weeks ago. Her father was pretty concerned about not being able to fish when she came along but our life hasn't changed a great deal she just comes with us now. But her dad has been pretty besotted with his little girl even though he wanted a boy and is a great help. Look forward to meeting some other women with similar interests and who have children of similar age.

....and great to hear that bub just joins in life as usual after arrival!! With our first one on the way at the end of August I'm starting to think life will never be the same..............But bring on the leisure activities!

My name is Alison and I too am looking forward to meeting a few other women with similar interests (and who know what it's like to live the fishing widow life occasionally)

Hello im dodyones missus and im not quite sure how ive ended up messaging on a fishing forum?
I cant say i enjoy fishing that much but it would be sure nice to talk to other fishing widows.. maybe something other than boats, tides, planning that awesome trip away in a boat that is way too small, beer requirements and of course the rod, reel and lures that always never seem to match that awesome trip away so therefore a whole stack of new stuff will have to be bought on the week before.. but what am i complaining about really? At least i get to party hard when he is away

Any way we have a little(big) boy who is 10 months old now.. a real terror now he is walking and destroying everything within reach.. i wonder if i should leave dodgyones best reel out.. (sorry did i say that out loud??)

I can't say I am a "fishing widow', because it 's not often the boat Goes Without Me ! However it nice to have some Ladies to chat aswell
