Where are the big Mackeral hiding?

I was wondering if anyone would be able to point me in the direction of where the big macks are hiding at this time of year? have they pushed out of south gutter and moved on or are they around at lee point? I haven't done any dedicated mackeral fishing before, more just by-catch whilst waiting for those silly billfish.

Didn't find any big ones on the weekend but heaps in the 7-10kg slot limit at the Vernons per usual.
