Launching at shady
Can you launch and retrieve at shady on any tide at the moment. Thinking of heading out there for my first time on wed/thurs. will be a solo mission so if anyone could help me out with some spots or ideas it would be much appreciated. Starving for some barra at the moment.

Re: Launching at shady
I retrieved my boat yesterday at around 1:00pm, just managed to get to the ramp, about 2 foot of water in channel just down from ramp and that was before low tide, so plan on going in and out on high tide.
Heaps of big threadies and occasional barra at mouth of Sampan, I was using green f18 and offsider a gold bomber.
Good luck and watch out for storms overnight.

no dramas pulling my 5.4 out at low.
harder at high tide at the moment as it covers the rocks, I'd rather know that i am going to hit sand than not know if im going to hit a rock.

Re: Launching at shady
might be a bit different on a .9 low instead of 3m.
I couldn't get my 5.5m Ocean Master out until the tide had run in for a couple of hours. And we had 10 foot of rain from the storm.

It will be a hassle at low tide on your own. maybe the rain yesterday will lift the levels a bit but be careful

Cheers guys. Might give it a miss on these big tides. Bit risky by myself for the first time there. Might give SWA a crack instead or Daly. Only two days of for a bit so I want to make the most of em
